Do I need a permit for my skip?
If a skip is required on a public highway a permit must be applied for. This can take between 2- 5 working days and is subject to a charge from the County Council which can be found on our Quick Quote. We are happy to arrange the permits for our customers.
Do I need a separate skip for plasterboard?
*** !! Plasterboard can no longer be placed in mixed waste skips. It must be separate !! **
What can go into my skip?
General mixed waste; wood, metal, plastics, paper and cardboard packaging, hardcore, green waste, ceramics etc...
What can't go in my skip?
Liquids, Asbestos (separate skips can be provided) cannot go in. White goods can't unless arranged beforehand. Windows and double glazing will be charged by haulage and tonnage. It is important that Soils/inert must not be contaminated. Ie from fuel spills or oil and sewage leaks.

What is the range of the grab arm?
6 meters.
Where should the grab lorry be positioned?
The lorry has to be alongside the material to be taken away not in front or behind. There must also be sufficient height and width for the arm and lorry . The lorry can not be parked on a public footpath.
